Annual Chinese New Year Gala Chair

Ms. Buffy St-Amand has been appointed Director of HKCBA for the first time this year and is currently the event Chair for the Annual Chinese New Year Gala.

Ms. St-Amand is currently working with Volunteer Calgary managing the Leadership Calgary program. Prior to joining Volunteer Calgary, Ms. St-Amand has worked in international education for more than 15 years, holding a variety of positions from teaching abroad to working in international recruitment / marketing to managing study abroad programs and working with a diverse group of international partners resulting in sending hundreds of students abroad to study and work.

Her academic background includes a Bachelor Degree in Social Sciences with a double major in Sociology and Intercultural Management from the Université de Moncton, and a Certified International Trade Practioner Designation from the Forum for International Trade Training Institute.

Prior to moving to Calgary, Ms. St-Amand has worked and lived in Brazil, Dominican Republic, Malaysia, Philippines and Tanzania. Her international work experience ranges from volunteering with Canada World Youth to being Director of Marketing for the Canadian Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines. Ms. St-Amand is married and has 3 years old twins.
