Events

The Hong Kong-Canada Business Association offers its members a forum to gather information related to Canada-Asia, particularly Hong Kong, bilateral trade intelligence as well as gain access to trade and investment opportunities across multiple sectors in the region.

Throughout the year, we host a variety of events which range from speaker luncheons and workshops to social events enabling attendees to learn from Canadian companies operating in Asia and share valuable expertise. In addition, these events serve as a medium for professionals and entrepreneurs alike to connect and forge high-level business relationships.

Below is an overview of the types of events we organize, which take place in our eight sections across Canada as well as Hong Kong. For more information on individual events, please take a look at our upcoming events section.

Speakers' Series and Business Workshops: These seminars, panel discussions and dialogues feature topics relevant to professionals and entrepreneurs doing business in Canada and Asia. Topics range from success stories, business innovation, operational insight as well as updates on trade regulations and policies.

Social Events: HKCBA organizes a number of sold-out signature events across the country to provide opportunities for members and guests to network and make new contacts in a social setting. This includes Chinese New Year celebrations, golf tournaments and holiday parties to name a few.

Trade Missions: The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), in conjunction with the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office (HKETO), Hong Kong Tourism Board and the HKCBA organize a number of Canadian trade missions to Hong Kong for businesses looking to expand into Asia as well as develop long-term trade and investment relationships.

HKCBA National Conference: The National Conference rotates between HKCBA's eight member cities and takes place each year in June. The conference highlights and celebrates successful business initiatives between Canada and Hong Kong. In addition to keynote speakers, workshops, and breakout sessions, the event also showcases our nations entrepreneurial spirit.

Hong Kong Forum: As a member of the Federation of Hong Kong Business Associations Worldwide (FHKBAW), HKCBA members have the opportunity to participate in the annual Hong Kong Forum Conference, an exclusive gathering of business professionals and entrepreneurs across all industry sectors worldwide to gain insight and exchange information on business expansion in Asia through Hong Kong. The HKCBA leads a Canadian delegation to this event every December, in conjunction with the HKCBA National Annual General Meeting.
