The Hong Kong – Canada Business Association (HKCBA) - Calgary Section and its Board of Directors invite members and guests to attend our Annual Section Meeting (ASM) on Thursday, September 15th at Theatre Junction Grand. During the ASM, we will present our financial report for the year ending March 31, 2016 and introduce new Directors and the new Executive Team.
Immediately following the ASM, meeting attendees will be invited to join in the festivities of the Feel Foreign Film Contest Awards, which takes place at the same location starting at 5:30pm.

Feel Foreign’s flagship initiative is the Feel Foreign Film Contest. Feel Foreign is a challenge – a call to action – to experience, embrace, and learn from different cultures. The Feel Foreign Film Contest is a forum to see and hear stories of diversity and to learn from them.
HKCBA ASM attendees will enjoy an evening of creative storytelling and will celebrate the winning entries of the 2016 Feel Foreign Film Contest, where the top three (3) winners will be announced and presented with cash prizes totalling $10,000! Winning entries will be screened, along with a few other surprises to be revealed during the Awards event. All attendees will receive an “Oscars”-style gift bag filled with goodies from The Core and you will enjoy delicious creations from Workshop Kitchen & Culture at a Post-Awards Reception.

Feel Foreign is a nonprofit organization incorporated in Canada. Its purpose is to build bridges across cultures and improve intercultural dynamics, both in the workplace as well as in our everyday lives. This is done by telling the stories of real people learning a new culture, addressing stereotypes and discussing cultural differences in an entertaining way.
