This Reception is staged for HKCBA Calgary Section members and prospective members to network and to share updates and insights on business opportunities in Asia via the Hong Kong platform in the new normal for Alberta companies.
Since early 2020, under the impact of the COVID pandemic, some market trends like adoption of technologies have accelerated. Some traditional sectors have also been re-energized by new ideas. Innovation, sustainability and wellness have unfolded unprecedented business opportunities. In Asia, these developments are further broadened and deepened by China’s 14th Five-Year Plan, the Greater Bay Area (GBA) Development and the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) Agreement. The opportunities are for businesses from around the world – including Alberta companies – to tap. In celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the establishment of the HKSAR, the Hong Kong platform continues to offer unique advantages to Canadian companies to leverage in diversifying their business footprints to Asia.
Please join us at this HKCBA Calgary Section Reception to share insights from:
- Ben Leung, President, HKCBA Calgary Section (Chair of event)
- Emily Mo, Director, Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office (Toronto) on updates on the Hong Kong platform;
- David Lui, CEO, Korite on his company’s experience on leveraging the Hong Kong platform;
- Andrew Yui, Director, Canada, Hong Kong Trade Development Council on deliverables available for Calgary companies to think Asia, think Hong Kong
And to leverage this occasion to reconnect with known contacts and meet new ones, and have fun!
